Ola tudo mundo!!!
This week has had ups and downs. We had some great lessons with some new people which was great.
Monday
We had our p-day and we played soccer with some of the kids from the branch and some friends of theirs. It was really fun. I missed playing soccer.
Tuesday
Today we had a great day. We met a man named Luis on the street we started to talk to him and get to know him more. We told him who we are and that our message can help him in his life. He said that he had time so we sat on a bench and taught him the first lesson. We taught with the pamphlets and used the pictures. We taught really well together. Luis understood what we were teaching and it was awesome. He told us that we could come and teach him again. So we got his info and then set another time to talk with him. Then later that night we had dinner with some members. It was the Branch mission leader and his family. They invited us over to get to know them a little bit better. It was awesome. I love their family.
Wednesday
So Elder Chantre and I haven’t been getting along that much so I tried to fix it. I asked him if he could teach me to make his ice-cream. He got a little excited and was happy to teach me. I’m trying my best to be best friends with him. I love him to death, but he needs some help on following the mission rules. Other than that we are getting along really well.
Thursday
So this morning Elder Chantre was mad at me. I was following the morning schedule and apparently Elder Chantre thought it was different. So he was getting mad at me and telling me that we had to do it differently. So we ended up calling the Zone leaders and then we cleared things up. Turns out that i was right and there was just some info that was left out. We also tried to pass by some less actives today and actually one came up to us on the street. His name was José and he was so cool. He told us that we could pass his house sometime this week.
Friday
Today we had Zone Conference in Setúbal. It was a great Zone Conference. I even got to meet Elder Jensen there (again) which was so cool. I got a picture of us again. President & Sister Fluckiger where there as well. They both had great talks and we all got to have lunch with them as well. At the end of the meeting we all lined up and got to hug President and Sister Fluckiger. It felt so great. I felt like they were my mission Parents. They both gave me a nice big warm hug and gave me some great advice. I love them so much. I will miss them.
Saturday
So today we had that lesson with José the Less active. He is so cool. When we entered his home we saw a crocodile hanging on his wall. He told us the story of how he hunted the croc and it was Awesome. Today we also had a kind of family night with some members Adelson (son) + Maria (Mom). That was fun, then when we were walking back home. A girl about 30 years old asked Elder Chantre to dance with her. So there is a party that is going on for a week here in Vasco da Gama and it happens during the night. So there is lots of music and dancing and lights all over the town. It was pretty funny. Elder Chantre was like "maybe another time" haha. Sunday- Today we had Stake Conference in Setúbal. We rented a bus and all the members here got on it and we all went to it together. There were so many people there. It was great to see so many members united. There was hugs and screaming everywhere. We had some really good talks. One thing that i liked was something Sister Fluckiger said. She said we should always be teaching the Gospel and if necessary use words. That means we should be a good example to others through our actions. I really liked that. So this week was really great. I still have some things I need to help Elder Chantre with but other than that we are doing great. I love my mission and I am so grateful for all the things that I go through and experience on it. I love you all so much. Hope you have a wonderful week.
