That’s so cool that you could see where I live on Google Earth (We used Google Earth to look at Tyler's area and exact address). Yes, Beja is like in the middle of nowhere there are a lot of fields around us and we try to stay away from those areas because they have poisonous bugs and gypsies out there. And they don’t want us to be anywhere near those. For soccer yes, I have played soccer once with some natives on P-day. But we usually play basketball because the other elders like basketball. As far as watching soccer we only see a little bit if we are walking by a café or bar they usually always have a soccer game playing. On P-days what we usually do is we wake up then do our studying and then after we go to the store and buy our food for the week. After that we make and eat lunch. If we have time we will go get haircuts if we need them or go sightseeing or stuff like that, then go do emails. After emails we go to the park and go play basketball. Our P-day ends around 6:30 and then we go back to work till 9:30. That’s a typical P-day.
Julieta and Paulo have accepted baptism and Julieta is going to be baptized this Saturday and Paulo later. Julieta had a problem with smoking and coffee so we taught her the Word of Wisdom and she agreed with it. So that night we asked her if she would take her coffee packets and throw them out the window. It’s a little thing missionaries like to do to prove that the investigator wont drink coffee again. So she was throwing them out as if a rich person was throwing out Benjamins ($100 bills) out the window. She is now only smoking one cigarette a day. She used to have about 20 a day. She is doing so well.
So a couple of days ago we talked with the miracle Grandma and her 24 year old daughter and we talked about the Restoration and invited the daughter to be baptized and she said yes. So now we are going to teach her all the lessons and work towards her baptism. We have not yet picked a date but that will be soon. I love Portugal and I know that I was called here for a reason. I love you guys so much and pray for you every night. Have faith in the lord and he will bless you.
With all my love,
Elder Rusnell
