Hello my favorite people in the whole world!!!!!
So all of you have been pretty worried about me because of what happened last week. I want you to all know that I am OK!!!!! I am doing really great. So I talked with my mission President about what happened and we got it taken care of. Elder Chantre is no longer the District leader and I got transferred to a new area with a new companion. My new area is Santo André and my new companion is Elder Katipunan and he is from the Philippines and he is such a great missionary. I love him to death!!! I am a senior companion to him because he has 4 transfers in the mission. I am also the 1st Counselor to the Branch President and my companion is the 2nd. It’s a lot of responsibility but I am ready for it and I am ready to go to work.
Monday was transfers and we woke up early so we could get on a bus. Then after the bus we got on a boat and crossed the river to Lisboa and then after that we got on a metro (subway) to a bus station. We called the office elders to pick us up and take us to the mission office. Later I met my new companion and we gave each other a big hug. We then went with a sister who was finishing her mission and a member to lunch. The sister had special permission to be alone as long as she had two elders with her so we got to go and have lunch with them. I have a photo attached to this email it is us in the huge mall eating lunch (Elder Katipunan and I). After that we took a 3-hour bus ride to our area. I don’t know much about our area but I am really excited to explore it. When we got there I unpacked and then we went to pass by a investigator who really wants to listen to our message. She is really crazy but loves God so much. I don’t know how to explain her, she is just really crazy. She showed us a scripture in the Book of Mormon that she didn’t understand and it was talking about baptism so we told her about that and then explained that she could follow the example of Jesus Christ and be baptized like He was. She then shouted out "I want to be baptized like Christ was!!!!!" haha it was so funny. So we ended up marking her for August 2nd for baptism. My first day in my new area and we marked a person for baptism wow this is awesome haha. I feel so much happier and just lighter now. I love my new companion and we are going to do a great job in our new area. I haven’t had time to take lots of photos but I will take some soon and then send them. So just let everyone know I am fine. I am happy and I am working and that’s what’s important. I love you all so much and wish the best for all of you.
