Hello everyone.
This week has been a great week. Lots of cool stuff has happened this week.
Monday
So today we went to a really big mall that is close to our area called FREEPORT it was pretty sick. We went there so that I could get some new pants. I walk a lot and because of that that pants that I had where starting to wear and get bad. Eventfully they got holes in them, but I’m all good now. I got some pants that will last me for a long time now.
Tuesday
So today we had our Zone Conference. We got to meet the new president and his wife. They are so cool. They are from Brazil and so they only speak Portuguese but understand English a little bit, but not much. We had a really good conference with them. They told us a little bit about themselves. After we had lunch and during lunch Sister Tavaris came up to me (the wife of President Tavaris) she asked me if I liked to draw. I said yes. Then she asked me if I could do a big art project for the mission. She told me she wants me to draw a big fishing boat with two people in it. She wants this to represent missionaries and we are called to be (fishers of men) like Jesus did when he called the apostles. So she asks me to do that. I am excited and a little scared at the same time. haha its going to be a huge project, it will take a couple of months to complete. I have to do it whenever I have free time and they want me to do it at the mission house. So we will see what happens.
Wednesday
Today Elder Chantre got sick so we only had time to pass by one person today then we went back home. This person we passed by his name is Bruno. He is actually a member and I didn’t even know that. His mom is the investigator. He is really cool and we became friends really fast. We just got to know him and then invited him to church again. He said he might go but he has a reason why he doesn’t go anymore. So we will see. Then we went back home because my companion was sick.
Thursday
So this morning Elder Chantre didn’t want to do study’s but I did them anyway so when it was companion study time I was alone. I just looked around the house for stuff I have never seen before. I found some cool cd´s that have some music on them so that was pretty cool. Then when it was time to leave I had to wait for Elder Chantre and we didn’t leave until like an hour later. But it was good. Today we had dinner with some members. They made us soup and it was pretty good. They are a cool family.
Friday
We had weekly planning today and yet again we didn’t follow what we needed to do. It was short again. But after I continued and wrote in the area book and updated some people. After that we had a lesson with Adosinda our recent convert, the one that likes to talk a lot. So it went for a long time but then we had to end it because we had to go on a bus to go and do a baptism interview for the other Elders. I walked to the bus station and then my companion said that we had a lesson with someone. But we really didn’t and so I followed him and we passed by the person and they weren’t there so we missed our bus for nothing I was upset with him. He never listens to me and is hard sometimes, but I just pushed it aside because we had another bus in 30 min. We finally got there and met the Zone leaders. While Elder Chantre did the interview I helped Elder Heart pick some leaves off of a certain tree. These leaves help get rid of bed bugs and Elder Heart (his companion) had bed bugs. I helped him with that which was fun. Later we returned and then went back home.
Saturday
So this morning I did study’s alone again. Elder Chantre didn’t do his study’s which is sad. Then after lunch we went to Berrairo to do an interview for the sisters and then after stayed for the baptism. It was really cool. The boy was 8 years old and he was so cute. We also got to sing a special song for him. It was so cool.
Sunday
Today started out bad but then ended up so awesome. It started out bad because when it was time to leave for church my companion left without me and I didn’t know and so I left and then finally caught up to him. When I got up to him I tapped him on the back and was like what the heck man why did you leave without me. He said don’t hit me and punched me in the head. It hurt, but I just told him if he does that again I will call President. So it started bad, but then it gets better. After church we went back home had lunch and then we went to the church in Berrairo because we had a little kid in our branch who was going to be baptized by his father. We went there and it was awesome. Then the Zone leaders had a baptism right after that as well so in our zone we had about 4 baptisms which are awesome. Then after the baptism we went to Paula Reis house (the members who feed us dinner) because it was her birthday. So we went there and sang happy birthday to her and talked for a while. It was a great day. It was a happy day.
This week was awesome it had some downs but it had a lot of ups!!! Thank you all for your prayers and all the nice words. I love you all so much. I hope you all enjoy my letter this week. Stay cool and always have a smile with you.
Come muito amor,
